Location: Bellevue, WA
As a liaison between the Customer Service team and the IT community, the Customer Service Business Systems Analyst II will facilitate system requirements gathering and plan for/manage UAT activities for both system enhancements and acquisitions. Other activities include: system impact assessments, gap analysis, business case development, and cost/benefit analysis for system-related initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Perform all necessary activities to elicit and document system requirements from business stakeholders
• Perform all necessary activities to plan for and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all appropriate initiatives
• Perform all necessary activities to actively manage smaller-scale projects end-to-end
• Work closely with the Customer Service management team, as well as project managers and other analysts on a wide variety of system improvement/acquisition efforts
• Work with teams to assist in the definition of new business or system needs
• Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions involving validation, prioritization and group decision-making
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree required, preferred emphasis in Business and/or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
• Proven work history as a business analyst or consultant
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience with strong emphasis on business information systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications, software development lifecycle, process improvement methodologies and project management methodologies
• Customer Service experience strongly preferred
• Wireless/Telecommunications industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Comprehensive written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance multiple projects and embraces organizational change
• Experience with both purchased and in-house developed business applications
• Provides basic knowledge of all of the assigned customer support applications
• Ability to conceptualize, document and communicate the business and technical constraints and requirements
• Ability to see the big picture, organizational impacts and interdependencies within a business need
• Performs assigned tasks in the definition, planning and execution of project plans
• Exhibits leadership qualities, provides general business leadership, fosters teamwork
• Ability to coach and mentor junior analysts
• Structured problem solving skills; demonstrates ability to multitask
• Quickly develops knowledge of the assigned functional area with or without hands-on experience
• Experience and skills in presentation of project documentation
• Experience with requirements gathering and analysis, including gap analysis and functional use cases
• Experience planning for, managing, and performing UAT with various stakeholder groups
• Experience creating detailed business cases to guide executive level business decisions
Soft Skills:
• Readily accepts accountability for results
• Exhibit strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
• Advanced interpersonal skills
• Perform Project Management role when necessary
