These are the requirements currently open.
Job Title: GIS Analyst/Programmer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Sacramento, CA
Rate: Market (ALAP)
Preferable: Local Consultant. (Face to Face interview)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
§ Provide leadership in designing, implementing, and integrating Geographic Information System (GIS) tools to support emerging client requirements.
§ Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows, interpret project objectives, and provide strategic advice regarding GIS architecture and implementation.
§ 3+ years of experience with GIS development including ArcGIS, ArcSDE and other ESRI tools.
§ 3+ years of experience in working with client server and Web-based applications including Visual Studio .NET, ADO.NET, Web Services, ActiveX exe/dll, COM and DCOM.
§ Experience with MapObjects or MapObjects LT class libraries.
§ Customer service skills are essential as job duties will include assisting staff with installing, testing, configuring and troubleshooting a variety of GIS software.
OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS:
§ Proficient in multiple programming languages.
§ Familiar with various data transport options including fixed width and XML.
§ Although this candidate is not likely to be responsible for legacy Web server development, familiarity with Cold Fusion would be desirable.
§ Familiar with MS SQL Server.
§ Familiar with MS Access.
§ Experience in windows environments is preferred.
§ Understanding of networking principles.
§ Ability to analyze system resource usage and constraints.
