Skills/Experience:
Linux programming (kernel programming a plus)
Experience in C/C++ programming
Strong debugging skills
Bluetooth experience is highly desirable, but not absolutely required
Hands-on approach to software development
Overview:
The Bluetooth software engineer will bekey member of Bluetooth Engineering team. The team is responsible for all phases of Bluetooth development handheld and smartphone products including design, development, and engineering test/certification. The Bluetooth Engineer's role within this team will be to specifically focus on the Bluetooth Application level, which provides integration between the upper Bluetooth layer protocols and the host.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Bluetooth software engineer is responsible for designing and implementing application level management functionality for upper layer protocols such as SPP, DUN, FTP, A2DP, HFP, HSP, PAN, within various handheld and smartphone products.
The engineer should also be comfortable with the inner workings of the Bluetooth stack and be able to debug issues as they arise with the internal stack.
The engineer will work on multiple products, though not normally at the same time, and will have full responsibility for the Bluetooth application layer within a given device.
Qualifications:
3-7 years experience
Education:
BS Computer Science or equivalent degree
