7+ years of IT experience in a UNIX production business environment
4+ years of experience with Solaris 2.x system administration and Sun hardware platforms
3+ years of experience designing and implementing UNIX infrastructure
solutions for enterprise applications in multiple system development lifecycles
Knowledgeable of Wintel, Tandem, and IBM platforms.
Proficiency in system performance monitoring and troubleshooting on
the Sun SunFire and Enterprise servers
Proficiency in TCP/IP networks using LDAP, NIS+, or DNS name services.
Capable of scripting in languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, and Perl
Strong customer service skills, and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Visio required to develop and maintain configuration diagrams
Location: Reston VA
Duration: 6 months
