Software Quality Engineer / North Chicago Suburb / 6 Months with potential for hire
* Provide Quality Engineering Support for design, development and testing of Medical Device Software. Interface with on site and remote testing groups at unit, integration, and software system level and ensure compliance with processes.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure functional and safety requirements have been met.
* Provide Configuration Management audit support and guide team in merge and branch strategies.
* Produce Software Release Documentation.
* Approve Software Verification Plans and Reports, Software Requirements Traceability Matrices.
* Drive the update of Software Requirements Specifications and associated documentation.
* Provide support for software audits and certifications.
* BSEE, BSCS, BSBME, MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
* Minimum 4 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering involving product development for medical devices.
* CSQE ASQ certification desirable.
* Experience with C/C++ required, familiarity with Rational tools desired.
* Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong independent work ability.
Senior Software Engineer / North Chicago Suburb / 6 Months with potential for hire
* This is maintenance type of position.
* Engineer will be adding features to an already existing system.
* Experience in RTOS and embedded systems. (QNX is preferred).
* Programming is done in C
* PSOS experience is a huge plus
* Looking for real time experience.
* Exemplary design practices, familiar with software verification practices in a regulated industry.
* BS in Software Engineering, MS preferred
* 10 years experience
