System Generated Mock Doc (Apr 02 – Feb03)
Liberty Mutual, Cincinatti,OH
Project implementation was aimed at automating the checks only process at the regional payment centers. On receipt of payments without a scan-able document (checks only process) considerable amount of research was needed to determine which policy to apply the payment to. The Mock Doc project implemented an automated application to generate a 'Remit doc' to help improve the efficiency of the checks only process. Remit docs were generated using a centralized database and MQ technology helped to print these remit docs at appropriate payment center locations, whichever requested the print. Apart from benefits like accurate and faster payment processing, the project also provided reporting ability for management
Responsibilities / accomplishments:
· Solely responsible for all host design and development in the project as well as for coordinating the various development layers in the project viz. Web tier, mid tier, MQ series and Backend processes.

Host analyst for PeopleSoft application development/support (Nov 99 – Mar 02)
State Farm Insurance Companies, Bloomington, IL
HR Payroll / Employee Compensation – Host analyst for the Payroll / Employee Compensation Module supporting the weekly payroll processes – (Pay sheet creation, Pay sheet Update, Pay Calc, Pay confirm), One time earnings processing and Garnishments processing. Designed and developed interfaces like the one-time earnings and Child support Garnishment EFT to bank which automated the plug-in and plug-out of PeopleSoft payroll process easier, efficient and time saving.
Purchasing Crystal Report Development - Complete life cycle development of crystal reports for the purchasing team. Work involved reviewing of specs, developing/customizing records, components, pages, people code, crystal reports, run control pages and process scheduler requests for attaching crystals to the appropriate page.
Compensation Management Tool – CMT was developed as an alternate in-house application when fit gap analysis determined that PeopleSoft’s eCompensation module was not suitable for business needs. This homegrown tool helped managers to appraise and record pay decisions for their employees annually. It also generates various types of crystal reports to summarize the impact of these decisions and compare the average recommended pay decision received against the target percentage calculated for the employee population. Designed and developed the 3 interfaces for CMT – (1) Initial Interface – preloads employee and other master data from Peoplesoft HRMS (2) Weekly Interface - updates employee information every week to maintain data integrity (3) Final Interface – runs after performance ratings and award information is entered for all employees and have been approved. A discrepancy report containing all the necessary information to finalize the CMT process is generated. All the discrepancies listed in the report have to be sorted out to ensure that all eligible employees receive their awards.
Long Term Time Reporting and Absence Tracking System - The project was an initiative to find a permanent solution to the manual intensive paper based time entry system. After the efforts to implement PeopleSoft Time & Labor were unsuccessful due to performance problems, a temporary PeopleSoft customized timecard solution was put in place. With a permanent solution as an objective, another project team was assembled. The main objective of this “Long term time reporting and absence system” team was to analyze the existing customized PeopleSoft application/drawbacks in the previous unsuccessfully implemented system and suggest a software solution that will perform and respond to the complexity of a sturdy time reporting and absence tracking system and cater to business goals. As a host analyst and designer, analyzed the existing host processes and suggested a design for the new system with an ability to report time and absences for all employees company wide and feed payroll ERP systems. The design was later implemented into production successfully.
